We are looking to add a dependable and driven delivery driver to our team. The ideal applicant will be in charge of moving cargo between different sites while making sure that deliveries are made on time and safely. Excellent organizational abilities, meticulousness, and the capacity to drive delivery trucks effectively are necessary for this position. You will be essential to preserving client satisfaction and assisting with our logistical operations as a delivery driver.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling and care during transit.
- Follow delivery schedules and routes efficiently to meet customer expectations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including shipping documents and receipts.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery status.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on the road.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met.
- Assist in warehouse tasks as needed, including order production, picking, packing, and shipping/receiving operations.
Qualifications
It is necessary to have prior delivery or logistical experience.
It is advantageous to have knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and warehouse management techniques.
the capacity to safely and effectively handle heavy machinery, such as sellicks and forklifts.
strong physical endurance for extended driving and hard lifting.
It is beneficial to be aware of OSHA rules pertaining to warehouse and transportation activities.
It is preferable to be proficient with AS400 or comparable inventory management systems.
Outstanding time management abilities, including the capacity to efficiently prioritize work.
It is necessary to have a current Class A CDL driver’s license and a spotless driving record.
