Day to Day

  • Run daily team meetings, status reporting, and executive communications for high priority projects.
  • Coordinate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, grooming, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Rapidly coordinate communication for unplanned production incidents.
  • Chase down dependencies to unblock product, engineering, and operations partners.
  • Create proposals to identify specific risks and gaps – solicit and incorporate feedback from collaborators to reach alignment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage multiple complex projects.
  • Understand the root cause and impacts for the project and other teams. Communicate and collaborate with the right people to implement timely solutions.
  • Partner with interested parties to define program OKRs, KPIs and roadmap.
  • Anticipate and mitigate risk across the program to establish if the implementation plans meet collaborator requirements and will achieve strategic objectives.
  • Proactively network with relevant interested parties across Indeed to advocate for the needs and success of your program.

Competencies and Skills

  • You can flourish in an environment of rapid hyper-growth, ambiguity, and shifting objectives because you are incredibly adaptive.
  • You’ve been a software program manager for more than eight years, and you’ve led big, intricate cross-functional projects in a tech company.
  • In order to provide high-quality features and products through the software project lifecycle (create, test, and release on schedule), you have collaborated closely with software engineers, QA, product managers, and other technical teams.
  • You have a proven aptitude for metrics and have expertise persuading senior management and setting objectives for significant cross-functional initiatives.
  • You feel at ease discussing business issues with technical people and technical issues with business people.
  • You are decisive because you promptly compile the information and offer important, well-informed suggestions.

Austin, Metro Area 118,000 – 170,000 USD per year
New York City, Metro Area 139,000 – 201,000 USD per year
San Francisco, Bay Area 149,000 – 217,000 USD per year
Seattle Metro Area 138,000 – 200,000 USD per year

Disclaimer of Salary Range

The base salary range for this position in the specified work location is the lower and upper end of the Indeed salary range. Location, experience, and performance are just a few of the variables that will affect actual pay. The range or ranges mentioned are only a part of Indeed’s overall employee compensation package. Quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), Paid Time Off, and numerous region-specific advantages are possible additional incentives.
